David Yellen, currently Chair of our Constituency, already has a profile in the area, has fronted all our public events for the past few years and has gained respect for his tireless commitment to the campaign against fracking. He is the best possible person around whom to build our General Election campaign

You are invited to come and meet David at the beginning of our campaign at a series of meetings; one in each Branch. These meetings are for members and supporters only and are specifically to give you a chance to find out more about David and the campaign and to ask questions about both. They are:

Of Course We can Win

If anyone is sceptical about our chances of winning here remember  that just two years ago we doubled our vote from the 2015 level taking 26% of all votes cast, almost four times the Lib/Dem vote; all other parties lost their deposits. There is a long way to go to oust the Tories but we if we doubled our vote in just two years last time we can do it again.

Labour Already Narrowing the Gap

A YouGov survey for The Sunday Times, published on 3rd November, found that Labour had gained six points between Wednesday and Friday. The Labour Party is now on 27%, 12 points behind the Tories, while the Liberal Democrats have slipped three points to just 16%.
