Your Candidate for Hovingham and Sherriff Hutton
David Yellen says “I am delighted to be standing in Hovingham and Sherriff Hutton as the Labour candidate, in next May’s County Council elections. I am privileged to have lived in the small village of Butterwick for 15 years and around Ryedale for 34 years”
David has recently retired from North Yorkshire Council after 33 years of service where he worked as a manager within children services. In that time he managed a range of services in support of families located in Ryedale, Scarborough and Selby. During his years of service within the County Council, he gained a grounded understanding of this tier of local government, propped up by skilled hard-working staff asked repeatedly to do more for less.
David said, “North Yorkshire County Council is proud to have cut services every year for the last decade and will continue to do so happy to be seen as cost-effective, meaning it will only provide services when it has to.”
“I pledge to fight for a meaningful level of services in support of local people.”
