Mick has lived in Ebberston for 16 years after moving from Pudsey. She worked for Bradford Council and West Yorkshire County in planning and housing and also for a while for the central government department responsible for local government. A lifelong supporter of environmental and peace campaigns she has been active in her trade union and the Labour Party for over forty years.  Her private interests are climbing, bee keeping, music and weeding. She says ‘I am standing for the new Unitary Authority because I believe North Yorkshire folk deserve so much better than the supine, service cutting, austerity loving, privatising, Tory controlled  Council that has been running the County into the ground since it was established in 1974.‘
