Thirsk & Malton Labour
Ian is standing as the Labour candidate for Hillside and Raskelf. He is a semi-retired engineering manager who now works in a part time audit capacity in the construction industry, whilst also volunteering as an enterprise advisor with a local special educational needs school.
Ian says “My view of politics and elected representatives at all levels is that we should be able to trust them, they are after all public servants. For far too long now we have all heard and read about situations that effect trust such as Partygate, with those who set the rules not following them, MPs with their focus on second well paid lobbying roles.
My role if elected will be to help restore the bonds of trust that should be a given between the community`s elected representatives and constituents”
