Your Candidate for Easingwold
Nick Howarth Pulleyn
Nick Howarth Pulleyn loves North Yorkshire. He has lived in the Easingwold area for 13 years, and in York for almost 20 years before that. His career has been built around influencing businesses to do the right thing for customers. Nick says that many people have helped him, so giving back matters to him. As a charity volunteer and trustee, he has worked hard for those whose voices are seldom heard and in support of community services.
Nick joined the Labour Party because he believes in solidarity, tolerance and respect. The extent of inequality and division in our society deeply concerns him. He wants the County Council to buy from suppliers within the county wherever possible, which will help rebuild our economy and create new, fairly-paid jobs. He wants to see better protection for our environment and wildlife, and urgent response to climate change through sustainable energy and transport.
Nick says “We are living through tough times. We need to respond with energy and creativity. We need lasting solutions which work for everyone. We need Councillors with a wider range of backgrounds and views to make it happen. If you elect me as your Councillor, I promise to repay your trust with respect, openness and commitment.
