AGM Guest Speaker: Alison Hume
Alison fought a great campaign for us in the Police Fire and Crime Commissioner election. We are delighted that she is our guest speaker at our AGM on Friday. Her talk ’Beating the trend in North Yorkshire’ will be about the campaign and she will be happy to take questions. I hope you will be there to give her a warm welcome.
Give Conference Power to Call Leadership Elections.
A key rule change motion is being proposed at our AGM with a view to it being submitted to this years Annual Conference. It would give Labour Party Conferences the power to call a leadership election by carrying a motion of no confidence in a leader or deputy leader. If you have views on this make sure you come and make them heard at the General meeting.
Annual General Meeting 4th June 7.00. Agenda.
We have not had an AGM for two years thank to Covid-19. It is essential that we make this one a success to help us get back into action. The final agenda including the details of the above motion is attached. We have a number of vacant Officer positions to fill including, crucially, Chair and Treasurer. We are not allowed to operate without these officers in place. We are also looking for up to three delegates to represent us at Annual Conference.
The meeting is for members only, is being held by Zoom, starts at 7.00 and will finish no later than 8.30. The line will be open from 6.30. Log in before 7.00 if you can to avoid a queue and help us start on time.
